Effective Ways to Prevent and Treat
Gallstones: Natural Remedies are the
Key! by Justin Lemaire
Natural Remedies that deal with
Gallstones
Gallstones are quite painful, as the millions of people around
the world that get them on a regular basis can attest. However,
it doesn't have to be that way. You might be quite surprised to
learn just how easy it is to get rid of gallstones, especially
if you use some natural methods to do so. If you are currently
suffering from gallstones, there are a number of foods that you
can take to either lessen the pain by quite a large margin or
alternatively gradually remove the sediment clump that created
the gallstone in the first place. Incorporating the following
foods into your diet can go a long way towards helping you
accomplish one of those two things.
Olive oil is an excellent food for gallstone removal and about
20-25 ml of it is all you need to get started on gallstone
improvement. Other liquids that can help you include things
like raw vegetable juices (especially something like beetroot
or radish) and any number of different fruits such as limes,
grapefruits, oranges, pears and apples. Lemons can also be used
in place of limes, although they are not as effective in most
cases. Turmeric is another substance that has been known to
help with gallstones, but it is somewhat difficult to stomach!
If you are the type of person that shies away from Buckley's or
any other similar medications, you might want to leave Turmeric
as a last resort.
Natural Remedies to Prevent Gallstones
That covers some natural remedies that should get you started
with dealing with your gallstones. Natural remedies generally
work much better as prevention items than curing items however,
which is where the saying that "an ounce of prevention is worth
a pound of cure" comes from. If you want to really deal with
your gallstones with finality, you should therefore start
taking a closer look at preventing them from happening in the
first place.
In this sense, foods that are classically healthy foods are the
ones that you should be aiming for. Specifically, fruits and
vegetables are what you are interested in consuming if you want
to help prevent future gallstone problems. This shouldn't be a
surprise, since a lot of the remedies mentioned for treatment
are fruits and vegetables. Those same treatments work better by
a factor of 10 or more if you use them as prevention methods
instead.
A good way to start with this would be making sure that you
consume one fruit a day. The best three fruits are apples,
pears and grapefruits. If you eat one of these each day at
breakfast, you will be taking the first step on a pathway that
might end with you kissing your gallstone problems goodbye for
a long time to come.
